If you look up the word ‘vain’ in the dictionary, the chances are it will be illustrated by a picture of Kim Kardashian. The 37-year-old reality star, who has built an entire empire from her “self-absorbed” antics, is arguably one of the entertainment industry’s most conceited stars. But, that’s why we are all so obsessed with her.

For some reason, we ‘average’ humans cannot peel our ordinary eyes away from the sight of Kim K’s infamous bulging behind. As much as we try not to be, we can’t help but be captivated by her inflated lips and faux baby doll voice.

Maybe it’s a mild curiosity that means we can’t look away when we see the name Kardashian, or maybe it’s our complete disbelief that someone as fundamentally basic as Kim can possess so much power over the world.

It’s our fascination with her life that means most people will do anything to be a part of her entourage. Literally, anything.

Take Kim’s former personal assistant Stephanie Shepherd for example. As a long-suffering personal servant to the star, Shepherd had to put her personal life on hold whilst she tended to the reality star, who’s worth a reported $175 million.
