Thanks to a certain Ms. Britney Spears, we tend to associate famous people shaving their heads with mental breakdowns.

No one will ever forget that infamous incident when the Hit Me Baby hit-maker lost the plot and shaved all of her hair off, it was completely bizarre and made headline news at the time. Of course, it later emerged that Britney was battling some serious demons when it happened, and she has since gone on to sort herself out and appears to be back on a healthy path.

Celebrity hair transformations often come with the changing of seasons, and no doubt with the end of summer hovering on the horizon, we will see some trends come in for the Autumn and Winter months. What colour will Kylie Jenner go? Will Taylor Swift emerge with jet black hair? Probably not, but one star who has made a drastic change to her look, is Kate Hudson.

Hudson, who rose to fame off of the back of her role as Penny Lane in Almost Famous, has traded her famous blonde locks for a full on buzzcut. I’m not talking a pixie cut, or a short bob, nope; Hudson has gone full on shaven in the name of a very special project that has got fans of the star absolutely buzzing (excuse the pun).
