When I was growing up as a teenage boy, every crush and date I experienced (all three of them) was undertaken with an overwhelming pressure. No, not to get something out of the date, or even to fly the flag of masculinity; every girl I knew growing up would compare me, consciously or otherwise, to Justin Bieber.

I mean, I was a shy, dorky kid with a bit of social anxiety and a penchant for puns, while Justin Bieber was some famous, floppy-haired, musically talented wonderkid. How could I ever compare? To this day, I still hold a small level of petty antipathy for the Canadian singer, but it looks as if the tables have turned! Kind of.

Yes, although I still struggle with anything sort of romantic, it turns out Justin Bieber isn’t immune to rejection of that kind either. He’s has his eye on a gym in Georgia, but it looks like greater muscle mass wasn’t the only thing he was looking to gain. He reportedly had his sights on a female employee there, but in a shocking twist, she didn’t feel the same way.
