Inspirational Girl With Prosthetic Chalkboard Leg Travels Europe Taking Incredible Photos

Acquiring a disability is one of the most devastating things that can happen to a person. But sometimes in life, you have two options; to let it beat you down or to embrace your circumstances and make the very best out of what you have in front of you. Devon Gallagher, a graduate from Philadelphia, very wisely decided to go with the latter option and, as a consequence, has made waves around the internet with her inspiring actions.

Devon was born with a congenital bone disease and tragically had to have her right leg amputated above the knee when she was only four-years-old.  Her happiness, sense of humour and love of adventure, however, was not damaged in the slightest, so when she set out to travel Europe she came up with an ingenious idea. The 23-year-old spray-painted her prosthetic leg with chalkboard paint and wrote the name of every city she visited on it, creating some truly unique pictures in the process. Her post on Reddit has garnered thousands of views and made her a role model for anyone with problems getting them down.
