Hilarious Footage Shows Woman Falling Through Convenience Store Ceiling While Fleeing From Cops

It’s often said that crime doesn’t pay. Further evidence of this has now emerged in the form of hilarious footage of a woman falling through the roof of a convenience store after trying and failing to make a great escape with her male accomplice from armed police.

The bizarre incident occurred at a Reddi Mart convenience store in Edmonton, Canada, last Monday when the pair tried to buy a can of soda with a stolen credit card. But when they were unable to punch in the credit card’s PIN number, the store’s owner called the cops.

The couple had been hanging around outside the store for hours before the incident, and while it’s unknown why they tried to purchase such a small item, worth approximately $1.50, with the stolen card, the pair attempted to flee when police arrived.

The woman ran into the store’s back room area, where she located an air vent and climbed into the ceiling area in an attempt to escape. However, the ceiling panels were not strong enough to hold her weight and moments later she came crashing through the roof onto a stationary display.

To see the moment she crashed through the ceiling, check out the video below:

Both suspects were arrested and now 29-year-old Brittany Burke and 28-year-old Richard Pariseau, both of Edmonton, have been charged with numerous offenses, including using a stolen credit card, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

One thing’s for sure – trying to buy that can of soda was certainly not worth the punishment they’re going to get!
