21 May Here’s The Obvious Reason Why The Queen Won’t Sing The National Anthem
The Royal Family is the talk of the water cooler these days, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding having just occurred. It certainly was a moment to go down in history and the fanfare did not disappoint.
There were plenty of famous faces in the crowd, and Meghan’s Givenchy wedding dress was absolutely stunning, as was to be expected.
However, many Royal-watchers pointed out one interesting thing from the ceremony and it occurred after Harry and Meghan’s vows were exchanged.
Watch the amazing moment below, as the Queen stands and just lets everybody sing to her:

Right after the vows, the entire congregation stood to sing the British national anthem, well, everyone except the Queen, that is. While Queen Elizabeth did stand up, she did not sing along like everyone else did in the room.
Why? Well, it’s perhaps for the obvious reason that the British national anthem is “God Save the Queen”, so it might have been a little awkward if she did. Some joked that she should have sung along “God save me” instead, but that would have been terribly un-Royal behavior.
