15 Jun Healthy Four-Year-Old Is Sick In School, Then His Mom Discovers Teacher’s Disturbing Secret

Controlling a class of young children isn’t easy, and trust me, I’m writing from experience. During my brief spell as a teacher, I simply didn’t know how to discipline the children in my class, which is one of the reasons why I ended up leaving the profession.

It’s often said that teaching is a vocation, and I couldn’t agree more. Some people are naturally suited to it, and others, no matter how hard they try, will never be right for it. This was horrifically proven when a perfectly healthy four-year-old threw up at school.

Kelon Johnson-Chaney’s mom first realized that something was seriously wrong when he came home from school crying. Her first thought was most likely that her young son was being bullied, but the reality of what had happened was worse. Much worse.

Kelon had been mistreated so badly by his teacher that he ended up crying to the point where he threw up. Because he wasn’t sick and didn’t have any health issues that his mom, Kelicia, was aware of, she knew that something was seriously wrong at school.

On the day Kelicia first realized that there was a problem Kelon had been sent home early, presumably because he was upset.

When asked by his mom what had happened to make him so upset, the four-year-old explained that he had gotten into trouble for laughing in class. He then said that he had been given a time-out, which was a normal disciplinary procedure.

However, Kelon’s time-out came with a horrifying – and quite literally – monstrous twist.

Because Kelon’s class had been reading a book called After School Monster, his teacher decided to replace a traditional time-out from the class with placing her unruly students (who are barely out of diapers) into a dark cupboard alone.

After School Monster is about a young girl who finds a giant monster in her closet one day after school. In the book, she has to find her own courage to defeat the monster – a storyline that a number of pupils in Kelon’s class were forced to live for real.

Prior to forcing her pupils to have time out in the closet, Kelon’s teacher, whose name is unknown, told the children in the class that there was also a monster in the closet they would be locked in if they misbehaved and got a time-out.

“You are taking a four-year-old and putting them in a dark closet. That’s like torture. That’s a torture even to an adult that is afraid of the dark. Who locks anybody in a closet?” Kelicia said in an interview with KENS5.

Thankfully, both the teacher and her assistant were immediately suspended without pay as a result of the incident.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Kelon and the other children affected by this teacher’s actions all the best for the future. If there is any justice in the world, the teacher who subjected them to this psychological trauma will never set foot in a school again.
