I don’t know about you, but I have always been in No Doubt that Gwen Stefani is one of the most attractive women on this planet.

Since she burst onto the pop scene in the 1990s, the California-born singing sensation has been synonymous with bright red lips and bleach blond locks, two attributes which complete her trademark look.

In fact, so iconic is her look that the Grammy Award-winning singer would be practically unrecognizable if she were to go without it – just like Kim Kardashian would be without her bulbous behind and Angelina Jolie if the star chose to have the size of her lips reduced.

But whilst she may not venture down the red carpet or appear on stage without her signature slick of red lipstick, the 48-year-old singer does often get back to basics.

As a very active user of Instagram, the Rich Girl singer shares intimate snaps of her private life, which often involve her three children and her boyfriend, country singer Blake Shelton – also known as People magazine’s most controversial winner of the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ award.

The candid clips she shares also allow her fans have a glimpse of her in her most raw form – completely bare of any makeup.

Most recently, Stefani shared snaps of herself during a “sweet escape” to Oklahoma, where the perfectly polished star can be seen getting down and dirty on the farm with Shelton and her three children: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.

Despite the rural nature of her trip, Stefani is undeniably flawless and classically fashionable.

Not only that, but she appears incredibly relaxed and natural as she lounges on a boat on Lake Texoma – a million miles away from the entertainment industry glamor that she is used to.

Of course, Stefani’s eight million Instagram followers noticed the change in their icon.

Quickly they flooded her Instagram with comments of love for her understated, natural look.

There seems to be a revolution rising with regard to celebrities and the iconic looks that have defined their careers. Could the future see makeup become a thing of the past? Will everybody follow in the footsteps of Alicia Keys and abandon makeup entirely?

There is No Doubt that Stefani will be back in her infamous look in no time, especially given that she is currently performing in Las Vegas as part of her ‘Just A Girl’ residency at the Zappos Theater, which ends in March 2019.

But even if she wasn’t performing, you’d probably see the star in full face because she truly loves to experiment.

“If I wasn’t even famous or had any success, I would still wake up and put tons of make-up on, and put on a cool outfit,” she once explained. “That’s always been who I’ve been my whole life, so that’s never gonna change. I love fashion. I love getting dressed up.”
