There are times in life that, with the benefit of hindsight, one might wince at the memory of. We’ve all undertaken regrettable pursuits that we later have cause to regret, whether due to the financial implications of our mindlessness, or the resultant fall out with friends, colleagues or loved ones.

Possibly a slew of astonishing fashion mistakes that one could hopefully look back on with a wry smile, though perhaps a regrettable situation with a significant other that you shudder at the memory of, hindsight is both a gift and a curse to the backward-glancing among us. It can be a chastening thing, to look back at one’s bygone days, though regardless, it is a futile exercise, to try and change the past. We must, instead, learn from our mistakes and resolve to move forward as more complete, well rounded individuals.

Everyone makes errors of judgement, particularly in moments of youthful folly, so a certain level of forgiveness – both for yourself and from others – is important, particularly if we are to move on from the mistakes of the misty days of yore.

On occasion, though, it is hard to escape the notion that we are the architects of our own downfall. The man in our video falls firmly in line with that way of thinking.
