Grand Theft Auto 6 Production Rumours Have Officially Been Proven Fake

Grand Theft Auto remains one of the best-selling and controversial gaming franchises ever designed. It’s one of those titles that is every bit as iconic as older games like Super Mario Bros, Pac-Man, and Space Invaders. Everyone has heard of it, most people have played at least one iteration of the series, and you can guarantee that when a new instalment is released that eager gamers will queue (literally) round the block to get their hands on a new copy.

It’s tricky to say what exactly makes the sandbox crime simulator so appealing. Maybe it’s Dundee-based developer Rockstar’s wry and satirical sense of dark humour, maybe it’s the attention to detail, incredible graphics and intuitive user interface. Or maybe it’s just the feeling of anarchic freedom that they provide. You can chose to be a goody two-shoes, a criminal mastermind, a stealthy cat burglar, or more likely, a rampaging lunatic. It’s simply up to you.

The last game to be released was the best-selling GTA V, which came out on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC respectively in 2013. V was renowned for its three playable protagonists, where players had the freedom to switch between any member of the trio during gameplay, along with the heist missions.

However, after four years with no new information on the series, it sudden seemed as though Rockstar has now accidentally spilled the beans about the development of the sixth instalment. What gave the game away was apparently an actor’s resumé, and yet if you dig a little deeper then it turns out that these reports are actually false.
