Gordon Ramsay Bet Kids A Huge Amount Of Money That They Couldn’t Beat His Marathon Time

Anything you can do, Gordon Ramsay can do better. Be it in the kitchen or running a marathon, the 51-year-old is a certifiable athlete – with plenty of stamina when it comes to his foul-mouthed tirades.

Whilst these epic meltdowns over culinary crimes may make the Michelin-starred chef look like the bad guy, in reality, this couldn’t be any further from the truth. The British-born food icon is actually incredibly charitable despite his devilish demeanor.

That may be hard to believe when this sort of behavior is what he is famous for…

To prove just how giving he is, Ramsay publicly announced that he’d be giving his two children an eyewatering prize if they managed to complete the London Marathon – but, true to form, there was a twist.

Ramsay’s 18-year-old twins, Jack and Holly, ran the 26-mile marathon on Sunday in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, a children’s hospital located in London.

Through their JustGiving page, the pair had managed to accumulate a healthy £28,013 ($39,053) for the charity of their choice, but Ramsay wanted to put the pressure on the teen twins by offering them £26,200 ($36,525) if they could beat his best time of three hours and 30 minutes.

The challenge was set by Ramsay in a comment on his son’s pre-race Instagram photo. In his encouraging, if not slightly distracting comment, Ramsey typed: “Jack dads time to beat is 3hr 30 mins come on big boy you can do this £26,200 if you do this !!!! I know you can. I’m so proud of you both #smarttwins xxxx.”
