10 Jul Gender Pay Gap In The White House Has ‘More Than Tripled’ Under Trump Administration
Donald Trump has repeatedly been slammed by allegations of sexism as well as sexual assault. Whilst the business mogul and celebrity’s decision to run in the 2016 American presidential election resulted in greater media coverage of alleged incidences of inappropriate behaviour, one only has to do a little digging to realise that the majority of the cases are historical.
Judging by reported public encounters, the 45th President of the United States seems to have one of three responses when confronted with the female sex. There is the Rosie O’Donnell reaction wherein Trump told the American comedian that she was a “true loser” who had a “fat, ugly face”. Second we have blatant sexualisation best characterised by the television personality saying to a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice that it “must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees”. Finally, we don’t have words at all, just actions. Right before American citizens were due to cast their votes, an infamous recording emerged of Trump making obscene comments about women where he bragged to television host, Billy Bush that he “grab[s] them by the p***y”.
However Donald Trump does not seem to be doing much to rid himself of his damaged track-record when it comes to women. Certainly, reports have emerged claiming that Trump’s administration has more than tripled the White House gender pay gap.
