28 Feb Florida Shooting Survivor Emma González Now Has More Followers Than The NRA

Gun crime is, without doubt, one of the most contentious issues in the US right now. And with the Parkland high school shooting that occurred on Valentine’s Day a couple of weeks back, stricter legislation on gun ownership is being discussed more passionately than ever before.

Part of the reason for that is that the person currently spearheading the gun debate has every reason to fear for her safety in a country where guns are widely available.

Her name is Emma González and just a couple of weeks ago, she was an ordinary high school student.

But on February 14, yet another school shooting occurred in our country, this time it was González and her friends who were under attack, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
