Facebook’s New Feature Is Making It Harder To Unfriend People And Users Aren’t Happy

In a quest to make all virtual communication quick and easy-to-use, tech giants like Facebook have employed many features that allow users to seamlessly display their thoughts for the world to see. While this is deemed fantastic by a tech industry that is always looking for better customer engagement, it can pose a problem for average users like us, who are imperfect and, dare I say, occasionally kind of stupid!

Take the double-tap feature on Instagram. Does it make ‘liking’ photos incredibly easy? Yes, of course. Does it also make ‘liking’ photos that you don’t want to like incredibly easy? Yes. With one accidental slip of the thumb, you can like that cute guy’s Instagram from 2012 and reveal yourself for the stalker that you are. It’s a great feature, but if you’re mindless or even remotely uncoordinated, you can shamble your chances of romantic happiness in one fell swoop.

Facebook is the prime example of a social media hub that tries out different features frequently, seeing which ones users like and which ones they don’t. Unfortunately for the tech giant, their most recent feature has not exactly been loved by users, although you might not even know about it yet, as it was introduced quite quietly.
