Ex-Scientology Security Guard Reveals Details Of Bitter Rivalry Between John Travolta And Tom Cruise

A former Scientology security guard has spoken out about the ongoing rivalry between Tom Cruise and John Travolta within the church. Thirty-seven-year-old Brendan Tighe worked at its headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, until 2009, and it’s safe to say that he left with some stories.

Opening up about his experiences working for the church, he also revealed that he was beaten for speaking to its high profile members. At the time, he was told it was permitted, but he was later pulled out of bed in the middle of the night and assaulted.

At the church’s headquarters, Tight was given an unparalleled view to its VIP members which included Kirstie Alley.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 37-year-old said, “Cruise is the only celeb with a direct line to Miscavige [the church’s leader]. Travolta and Kirstie don’t have that.”

“Travolta doesn’t get anything free, no one is giving him absurd gifts like an airplane hangar, custom-made bikes, or over the top favors.”

According to the former security guard, who was a Scientologist for 30 years, Travolta began to resent Cruise in 2008 when he was awarded the church’s Freedom Medal of Valor for his dedication to the organization – the highest possible honor.

At the time, Travolta reportedly exploded with jealousy.
