Ed Sheeran is no stranger to drama. I mean, I think it’s pretty inevitable that people will have something to say when the boy next door suddenly catapults to stardom. And indeed, the 26-year-old singer and songwriter has been vocal about the toll that fame has taken on him, mostly in regards to what the internet enjoys labelling, the “haters”.

Time and time again, Sheeran has had to respond to people who criticise him for virtually every move and decision he makes. And whilst you’d think that headlining the infamous English festival, Glastonbury would make everything that bit more palatable… no, not for Ed. Just last week he invoked the wrath of the “trolls” for seemingly using a backing track during his performance and he had to take to Twitter to clarify.

Whilst we may not have thought much of this particular altercation at the time, it appears that it was one of the last straws for Ed and helped influence his decision to quit the social media platform for good…
