October is supposed to be a frightening month, but nobody was prepared for how haunting it would be in 2017. Countless Hollywood veterans had their masks ripped off in a Scooby-Doo-inspired frenzy (“I would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for you meddling kids!”), and we were left appalled by the fact that some of the world’s biggest stars are sexual predators.

Now, the internationally successful rap star Drake has taken a stand against this truly deplorable behavior.

As the allegations began to come in thick and fast against stars we’ve admired for decades (like Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman), we became more conscious of their everyday misconduct. But from a quick grope in an overcrowded train carriage to a repetitive and inappropriate touch from a stranger in a nightclub, the problem is not just contained to the rich and famous.

As women and men come forward to name and shame their attackers, there has been a zero tolerance policy for sexual misconduct. So when rap star Drake witnessed a concertgoer being groped at one of his gigs, he launched into action…

On Wednesday night, the 31-year-old performed to a sold-out crowd at the Marquee nightclub after his Sydney concert. The packed club was waiting for the Canadian rapper to drop the hook to his track ‘Know Yourself’. But he cut the music instead.

The Grammy-award winning star turned to his sound technician asking him to stop the track. “Yo stop that sh*t,” he says to the booth, before spinning back to face the screaming crowd.

He then took a step forward to lean out from the stage, prompting confused fans to (ironically) throw their hands forward in a desperate bid to touch their hero, not realizing that he was about to do something truly admirable.
