22 Sep Disturbing Footage Shows Care Home Nurse Punching His Patient Eleven Times In The Head

Caring for the elderly is by no means an easy job, especially if those being cared for suffer severely from age-related illnesses such as dementia. A lot of training is needed in order to ensure carers in nursing homes are adept at showing compassion to their patients.

However, some carers could receive all the training in the world, and still be completely incompetent at their job. In order to be an adequate carer, you have to be patient and genuinely concerned for the health and safety of those in your care.

Unfortunately, however, there are a number of nurses employed in care homes who are not just simply unskilled at their jobs, but in fact put their patients in grave danger.

Recently, a Canadian care home worker called Jie Xiao was caught on camera abusing one of his patients, an 89-year-old man called George Karam.

Karam’s relatives became very concerned after it appeared he had been inflicted with a number of unexplained injuries during his time at the Garry J Armstrong long-term care home in Ottawa, Canada.

His grandson, Daniel Nassrallah knew he had to take action so he installed a security camera in Karam’s room so that he could investigate.

Now, the care home workers were all aware that the camera was there, however, in spite of this, the bruises kept showing up on Karam’s body.

When Nassrallah looked over the footage, he was in utter disbelief at what he saw.

“I literally stood up and fell down, my legs gave way because I didn’t know how to respond to this,” Nassrallah said in an interview.

It was now an indisputable fact that Karam was being physically and psychologically abused by his own carer.
