Right, that’s it. I’ve had enough of 2017. I’m done. We are on the verge of World War III, fidget spinners are an actual thing, and now people are using Coca-Cola to tan themselves. Yep, Coca-Cola. Coca. Cola.

In what has to be one of the stupidest moves mankind has made since we decided Crocs are an acceptable form of footwear, tanners around the world are now lathering themselves in the fizzy stuff, hoping that it will dye the skin a deep shade of mahogany. Who, you may ask, is leading this movement? It is none other than Charlotte Crosby. For those of you who don’t know, Charlotte Crosby is one of the cast from Geordie Shore (the UK version of its Jersey equivalent.) She is a fountain of knowledge and has delivered memorable quotes such as: “Everyone knows me. I pull my pants down on the odd occasion. I was probably gonna have a wee on the floor.”

She is also, it appears, to be someone people actually listen to. Charlotte and her fellow cast members are currently holidaying in Ibiza and were spotted covering themselves in Coke in order to turn a deeper shade of brown. Annoyingly and unsurprisingly, people are now following their example and health experts are now having to release warnings about the effects that this can have on your body.
