22 Jul Crocodile Shocks Villagers After Returning Body Of The Man It Fatally Attacked

An astonishing video showing a crocodile returning a man’s body to land after a “charmer” performed a ritual to get it back has gone viral in Indonesia.

The tragic incident occurred after a 41-year-old man called Syarifuddin was dragged underwater by the large reptile at 6.20pm on Tuesday.

According to reports from local media, Syarifuddin was bathing in a river in Berau, East Kalimantan when a two-metre long crocodile pounced, dragging him underwater and killing him.

After the local police couldn’t find him, his devastated relatives searched in vain for him, assuming his body had been taken into the depths of the Lempake River.

All hope of his body being returned seemed lost until the next morning when villagers contacted a “black magic wizard”, said to specialise in “crocodile witch craft”.

In an astounding video filmed on villager’s phones, the predator is seen floating back to the banks with the 41-year-old’s naked body in its jaws as the crowd looks on.
