Corey Feldman Names Alleged Child Abuser As He Campaigns Against Predators In Hollywood

Corey Feldman has been unapologetically vocal on his quest to expose paedophilia in Hollywood. While the child star’s mission has recently gained mainstream attention again in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal, it is one he has been valiantly pursuing for years.

However up until now, the 46-year-old star had never named those, allegedly, guilty of inappropriate behavior. But, that all changed when he appeared on The Dr. Oz Show…

Feldman was inducted into the film industry as a three-year-old. “I literally was famous before I knew my own name,” he told ABC’s Nightline in 2011. In that same interview, The Goonies star bravely opened up about an issue that troubled him.

“The number one problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia. That’s the biggest problem for children in this industry. … It’s the big secret.

I was surrounded by [pedophiles] when I was 14 years old. … Didn’t even know it. It wasn’t until I was old enough to realize what they were and what they wanted … till I went, ‘Oh, my God. They were everywhere’.”

Feldman then went on to claim that child molesters hidden in Hollywood were to blame for the tragic death of his close friend, and fellow child actor, Corey Haim, who died in 2010 after a suspected overdose.

“There’s one person to blame in the death of Corey Haim. And that person happens to be a Hollywood mogul. And that person needs to be exposed, but, unfortunately, I can’t be the one to do it.”

Interestingly, Haim – one of the world’s most bankable child stars – was emitted from the ‘In Memoriam’ tribute at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Academy Awards in the year following his death, which many viewed as a “snub”.

Feldman continued to blast the entertainment industry in the interview, which came six years before Harvey Weinstein’s misconduct blew the lid off of the dark side of Hollywood.

“There was a circle of older men… around this group of kids. And they all had either their own power or connections to great power in the entertainment industry.

[T]here’s a lot of good people in this industry, but there’s also a lot of really, really sick, corrupt people. And there are people … who have gotten away with it for so long that they feel they’re above the law, and that’s got to change.”
