Coldplay’s Heartbreaking Tribute To Chester Bennington Leaves Linkin Park Fans In Tears

Coldplay’s Chris Martin paid a touching tribute to the late Chester Bennington on Tuesday night with a moving rendition of the Linkin Park’s hit single “Crawling”.

Martin, 40, played a ballad version of the Linkin Park song during Coldplay’s show in New Jersey and the poignant rendition of the track left fans in floods of tears. Footage taken from the concert shows Martin telling the audience: “I know this is probably going to end up on YouTube so I want to do it right.”

It’s safe to say the singer was right, as plenty of videos, such as the one below, have already been uploaded onto the video sharing platform, as people herald Coldplay for their fitting tribute to Bennington. It appears that Chester’s Linkin Park bandmate, Mike Shinoda, was in the audience as he shared the clip of Martin singing on Instagram with the caption: “Thank you @coldplay. It sounded beautiful.”
