Chester Bennington’s Widow Shares Heartbreaking Photograph Taken Days Before The Singer’s Death

When Soundgarden’s frontman Chris Cornell tragically took his life in May, it shocked the world, and got people talking about the importance of mental health. This conversation grew in intensity when Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington also made the heartbreaking decision to end his life back in July.

Both of these men were incredibly successful musicians who had everything to live for. Cornell was 52-years-old at the time of his death, and Bennington was just 41. They were close friends, and Bennington tragically committed suicide on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

What made Cornell and Bennington’s deaths so shocking was that those closest to them did not know they were struggling, and, as a result, their untimely deaths came as complete shocks.

Their fans and family are now campaigning for a greater awareness of mental health problems so that further tragedies can be prevented in the future.

Chester Bennington’s widow, 40-year-old Talinda, drew attention to how well-hidden mental health problems can be this morning by posting a poignant photograph of her late husband that was taken just days before he decided to take his own life.
