Cheating Boyfriend is Busted Due to New Snapchat Feature

Whether or not you are an active user of Snapchat, you have probably heard about the drastic changes made to the app with its latest update this month. After buying up a smaller (but still very popular) app called Zenly, a startup made to meld social media with location software, for over $250 million, the company have introduced it into their own primary program.

The idea is that if you ever see a friend’s Snapchat story and wish you could be there, all you need to do is check out their location on the app’s in-program app and you can join them. You can even scroll across a world map to see public snaps from events happening across the planet.

While it seems impressive, many have raised concerns about the privacy and safety of this feature, especially in the case of the children and teenagers who use Snapchat regularly. While the new technology is in its early days, we do have one example already of the software affecting someone’s life in the most dramatic of ways.
