14 May Bride’s Helicopter Unexpectedly Crashes Into Wedding Ceremony

It goes without saying, but planning a wedding involves a great deal of work, dedication and plenty of blood, sweat, and tears. It can take months or even years before all the preparations have been finalized and the loved-up pair are finally ready to say “I do”.

All these preparations are made because when it comes down to it, you want it to be one of the happiest days of your life. And that means it has to go as smoothly as it possibly can.

Of course, some couples do experience slip-ups on their big day and some experience great, big hurdles.

Now recent footage has captured one of the most unfortunate things that can possibly happen just moments before getting hitched:

A bride made a particularly fiery entrance into her own wedding ceremony when her helicopter suddenly crashed to the ground, erupting into flames.

Yes, the hapless woman’s arrival at the wedding venue, north of Sao Paulo in Brazil, couldn’t have gone any worse.

The four passengers on board the helicopter were forced to flee the burning aircraft as swiftly as they could. Luckily, the bride managed to escape entirely unharmed and decided to go ahead with the ceremony in spite of what must have been a very traumatizing experience.

The pilot and the other two passengers only sustained minor injuries. The bride and her groom went ahead with the wedding with the addition of the helicopter wreckage on the ground, according to Brazilian website Globo. Organizers at the venue confirmed that the pair decided to get married right then and there.

Following what could have been an immensely catastrophic crash, firefighters were called to the scene. When all was safe and sound the fire department shared a photo of the helicopter remains with the guests in the background, explaining that the bride had not suffered any injuries.

According to reports, a child and photographer were also in the helicopter when it crashed.

They were all very lucky to have survived the crash. In fact, in late 2016, a woman, called Rosemere do Nascimento Silva, also in Brazil, was tragically killed en route to the wedding when her helicopter crashed some miles away from the venue.

The 32-year-old bride, from Sao Paulo, died back in December 2016 alongside her brother, the pilot, and a photographer who was six months pregnant.

Silva’s fiancé, Udirley Damasceno, was unaware that she would be making her entrance via helicopter and was left waiting at the wedding venue.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere condolences to Silva’s partner and the rest of her family. These helicopter crashes are a testament to the fact that sometimes it’s not a good idea to make a dramatic entrance.
