26 Jul Brangelina’s Kids Have All Grown Up Beautifully And Now I Wish They Had Adopted Me

Millions of hearts around the world were broken in 2016 when Hollywood’s ultimate power couple, Brangelina, announced that they were parting ways. After infamously meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, the pair fell in love, and while we all felt for Jennifer Anniston – who was mercilessly cheated on by Brad – it appeared that he was better suited to Angelina anyway.

And when people finally meet “the one”, it’s only natural for them to want a family, and just three months after Brad’s divorce from Jen was finalized, it was announced that Jolie was expecting their first child, Shiloh, and while the actress was pregnant, Pitt became a co-adoptive parent to her existing three children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, in early 2006.

From then on, the stars became known for their huge brood which they eventually added to in 2008 when Jolie fell pregnant with twins Knox and Vivienne, who were to become their final children (unless they miraculously decide to get back together).

As people who are widely regarded as two of Hollywood’s sexiest stars, their family was subject to intense media speculation, but during their 12-year relationship, they appeared to go from strength to strength, finally marrying in 2014.

Brad is pictured above in Interview with the Vampire and, I must admit, when I first saw the historical horror flick when I was 16, I fell hopelessly in love with his character, Louis, and it made me extremely jealous of his relationship with Jolie…

But alas, unless I get a full body transplant, I’ll never be an international sex symbol like Angelina.

The cause of the pair’s eventual divorce was put down to Jolie’s well-publicized health struggles which forced the star into preemptive double mastectomy as well as differences of opinion when it came to parenting their six children.

Now, two years on from their sensational split, the pair appear to be on amicable terms – no doubt for the sake of their children – and it’s clear from interviews that Jolie has given after their divorce that their children have helped her through it.

When asked if she felt like the coach of a small football team, the mother-of-six said, “They really help me so much. We’re really such a unit. They’re the best friends I’ve ever had. Nobody in my life has ever stood by me more.”

Brad is pictured below arriving in Glasgow to film World War Z in 2011. I was in the city at the time, and I’ll never forget the jokes which flew around the locals – many of whom were hoping that they too might get adopted by Brangelina.

However, as we all know, the breakup of a long-term relationship is never easy, especially when there are children involved, and Angelina said of her split with Brad, “It’s a very painful situation, and I just want my family healthy.”

Thankfully, the 43-year-old actress appears to have nothing to worry about in this department and recent pictures of her and Brad’s brood have shown that their children have grown into happy and healthy individuals.

In particular, the oldest members of the Brangelina brood, 16-year-old Maddox and 14-year-old Pax, who are now very much young men, and, well, looking at them is making my hair turn grey – and I’m only a decade older than they are!

None of them are babies, either, and while Maddox and Pax might be the oldest, there’s not a huge age difference between them and their siblings. Shiloh is now 12 years old and twins Vivienne and Knox are 10.

The Jolie-Pitt kids clearly realized that their mom has been through a lot, and they are pictured above supporting her at the Toronto International Film Festival last year – and, I have to say, Shiloh really does look identical to her parents – but which one exactly I really cannot decide!

Growing up in the limelight must be an unusual experience for Brangelina’s children, especially when three of them come from impoverished backgrounds, but when it comes to getting their own dreams off the ground, it does give them unique opportunities – opportunities which Maddox and Pax are already beginning to chase by having their own Instagram accounts.

Maddox has clearly been inspired by his parents’ careers and on his Instagram, he describes himself as an aspiring producer.

What’s more is that despite Brad and Angelina no longer being together, their kids are still very much close not only with each other but with both of their parents, and he has posted numerous photographs with his mom and dad respectively.

Pax, on the other hand, describes himself as a photographer and the Vietnamese 14-year-old is following in his mom’s footsteps when it comes to humanitarian work, using his privileged position to help others in need and for that, we salute him.

I mean, how many 14-year-old’s care about big-world issues? If that’s not a sign that Brangelina did a great job raising their kids, I don’t know what is. When I was that age, all I cared about was what my friends at school thought of me.

As the picture below demonstrates, it’s clear that Maddox and Pax are now very much young men, and aren’t they handsome?!

So while Mr. and Mrs. Smith might be no more, it’s great to see that they are still very much a team when it comes to co-parenting their six children. Hopefully, one day, they’ll both find a love that lasts forever…

But fans like me can still live in the hope that one day they’ll reunite #BrangelinaTillIDie.
