Every so often we come across a situation which just strikes a chord in our hearts, taking our attention away from whatever we may be focused on at the time. Whether it is a super-cute animal at an adoption centre or a story we have read that is just too much of a tearjerker for us to handle, our emotions are never wholly safe from getting all of the feels.

Especially when it comes to children, it seems that we as a collective can’t help but respond whenever we see a situation where a child is in pain or deeply affected by a situation where they are out of their depth. And the internet is a place that is dedicated to chronicling all these simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming stories.

One such story caught my attention this week, wherein a boy left a touching note on a stuffed toy panda that his mother couldn’t afford to buy for him.
