Bill Hader Reveals Justin Bieber As SNL’s “Worst” Guest For This Reason

Justin Bieber has a bit of a reputation in Hollywood for being a wild child. It’s an image he has proudly cultivated in an attempt to distract from his early days in the industry where he was the pop star poster boy. Famous for the hit ‘Baby’ and his signature slick of fluffy hair across his forehead, Bieber was the music industry’s star child and cash cow.

The pressure of that position inevitably cracked the Canadian-born singer, whose name is now synonymous with trouble. Whilst his behavior may be more Lindsay Lohan than Ozzy Osbourne, Paris Hilton than Liam Gallagher, Britney Spears than Sid Vicious, the 24-year-old star is undeniably a bit of an anarchist, unable to follow the rules.

So when he appeared on Saturday Night Live, a show famous for its variety, it is hardly surprising to learn that Bieber cut loose. But according to three-time Emmy award-winning SNL star Bill Hader, Bieber was one of the “worst behaved” guests he worked with during his eight years on hit late-night show.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on his show Watch What Happens Live, Hader opened up about his experiences with Bieber, who first appeared on SNL in 2010 and again in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Listen to what Hader had to say about the scandalous singer:

He certainly didn’t mince his words! Then again, this isn’t the first time that Hader has spoken negatively about his time working alongside Bieber.

In the 2014 book, Live From New York: An Uncensored Look At Saturday Night Live, Hader simply said: “I really didn’t enjoy having Justin Bieber around. He’s the only one who lived up to (his) reputation. I think that’s the only time I felt that way in eight years.”

Then, the year before that, he confessed his contempt for Bieber to Howard Stern after Bieber hosted an SNL show in 2013:

“Justin Bieber showed up with like 20 guys. And every time, backstage is a very small constructed place, he had a guy holding a slice of pizza, a guy holding a Diet Coke. You were trying to fight around all these people to get dressed. Timberlake, it was just him. He’s a real class act, that guy.”

So Hader’s latest comments regarding Bieber will come as little surprise to those who have followed the feud over the years. It’s safe to say that Hader, who is the father of three girls, won’t be buying tickets to Bieber’s shows anytime soon.
