07 Aug Audiences Are Finding It Impossible To Get Through The First Episode Of ‘The Sinner’

We are living in a golden age of television. Or at least, that’s what a lot of people seem to be saying. It’s easy to see why, as we are seeing more and more quality shows turn up on the small screen each year. It’s no longer difficult to find a good show, or even find a good show about something you are interested in. It’s all there waiting for you, and the only problem is finding the time to watch it all – which is the best kind of problem to have.

One thing is for sure – a lot of this stems from more television being out there, through different streaming services, as well as creators being given the room to make whatever they want. It’s hard to imagine something as violent as Game Of Thrones making it onto TV screens even 10 years ago.

But these boundaries continue to be pushed, and audiences turn up to see what happens. You could say after a few years of beheadings and other unexpected deaths on Game Of Thrones, we have all become a little desensitized to the violence. Yet the recent premiere of a new show has caused much of its audience to turn away, struggling to make it through a single episode.
