Artist Transferred President Trump’s ‘Sexist’ Quotes Onto Vintage Ads And They Don’t Look Out Of Place

History has dictated that white, heterosexual men are the most privileged members of society. Whilst humanity as a whole has made considerable progress towards achieving equality, sexism, racism and homophobia are still rife within our society.

The last decade where women were predominantly regarded as second class citizens was the ’50s. Back then, women were expected to aspire to be nothing more than the best possible housewife with the best possible pastel-colored home.

This sexist view of women was reflected in the advertisements of the time, and now artist and activist Saint Hoax has decided to add quotations from President Trump which some people believe to be sexist to these ads.

1. Because women should always kneel before men…

Here, there’s 62 years between the original illustration and President Trump’s quote. Now try and deny there’s not something wrong…

2. Women have nothing more to offer than their bodies…

Because what else really matters when it comes to a women’s repertoire?

3. Sometimes a woman’s body is so good, her face doesn’t matter…

Imagine the backlash across the country if woman said something like this about a man?

4. Women are basically animals

The President of the United States, ladies and gentleman…

Speaking of her activism against President Trump, Saint Hoax said that she was doing it for “all the obvious reasons”. She decided to call this series of altered ads “Making America Misogynistic Again”.
