01 Sep An Incredible Deleted Scene From ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Finale Explains Fate of a Major Character
Now that the seventh season of Game of Thrones is over, fans and critics alike have begun to analyse what was unquestionably the most fast-paced season in the show’s history. But it wouldn’t take a genius to work out that there were some major inconsistencies when it came to its plot…
Take episode six, ‘Beyond the Wall’, as an example. When Jon Snow and company get into trouble beyond The Wall, they send a raven to Daenerys to let them know what’s happened. In any other season, they would have had to face the wrath of the undead, but ravens in season seven are able to fly at supersonic speed, and Danny saves the day.
Another massive gripe that many fans had with this episode were the giant chains the army of the dead were able to conjure from nowhere so that they could recover Daenerys’ fallen dragon, Viserion, from the icy lake and transform him into the ultimate deadly pet for the Night King.
Hilariously, the fact that the White Walkers and undead can’t swim comes to the fore in this seasons’s final episode, so the show’s producers have got some serious explaining to do when it comes to how they were able to attach the chains to Viserion as well. That’s three major no-nos in one episode!
However, when it came to overarching plot lines this season, there was one that left a lot of fans truly puzzled – Arya and Sansa’s relationship. Whilst the death of Littlefinger was welcome, there were almost no hints that the sisters were plotting against him the entire time. Instead, they were completely at each other’s throats…
Then Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran, revealed that a scene which explained everything was deleted. If only had made the final cut…
