AI Experts Boycott A South Korean University After Reports They Are Developing An Army Of Killer Robots

With modern development of Artificial Intelligence, autonomous weapons could be a feasible option in the event of a war, limiting human intervention. This would, of course, mean fewer casualties in combat.

However, with the prospect of AI weapon development, comes the virtual inevitability of a global arms race.

Alarmingly, it appears that the development of AI killer robots could be underway, according to some of the world’s most distinguished AI experts.

These experts have warned that a South Korean University is currently developing an army of killer robots that could potentially destroy the entire human race.

Nearly three years ago, some of the world’s leading scientists were already warning against the use of autonomous weapons:

In February of this year, the South Korean university launched a new AI weapons lab in collaboration with Hanwha Systems.

And now more than 50 of these leading AI academics are claiming that the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is working with a weapons manufacturer called Hanwha Systems to develop the highly lethal technology.
