If you’re a big fan of sci-fi movies, you’ll probably have developed the desire to travel through time at some point. I mean, it’s a pretty big theme in the genre.
But of course, we are traveling through time every single day. Even you, whose reading this to pass the time at work or while you wait for that friend who is always late.
Moving forward in time is a very basic level of time travel, opposed to traveling backward which is still confined to the realms of your favorite Hollywood films. But, that doesn’t stop us from questioning: will it ever be possible to move backward through time?
The thing is, currently we are only moving in one direction. However, turning everything in reverse could be possible under one condition:

In order to travel through time, we would have to go faster than the speed of light, and scientists are still not sure if that is possible.
Although it may seem natural that time would only move forward, scientists remain fascinated by the fact that time only moves in one direction. Is it, in theory, only ever possible for time to move forward? Possibly.
But, since there are practically no ways of verifying whether time is continuous or quantized, it is likely that this will remain a mystery for a while, maybe forever. There are still so many questions about time which remain unanswered, but there are many experts keen to crack the code to time travel.
