27 Oct According To Google Maps, These Are The 15 Most Haunted Places In The US

We have come a long way in terms of technology, but I’m going to go ahead and say that Google Maps is one of the very best and useful inventions of the last 15 years.

Their astounding Street View was made possible by vehicles affixed with cameras being driven to all corners of the globe capturing our streets just as they are – all for 90% of us just to use it to say, “hey look, that’s my car!”

In fact, as of yet they have driven an astonishing five million miles around 3,000 cities in over 40 countries.

And just when we thought the online mapping service couldn’t be any more impressive, they decided to go all out for one of the biggest holidays of the year: Halloween.

Google Maps has now highlighted all the allegedly haunted places in the US, and as expected, they’re all remarkably creepy.

1. Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California

William Winchester was the treasurer of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company until his death in 1881. His widow lived with him in the house pictured above. Apparently sighs kept from coming from unidentifiable sources and visitors would feel taps on their backs. She (and a number of other people) continued to claim until her own death that her home was haunted by the ghosts of the people who were killed by the Winchester rifles.

2.  Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana

Myrtles Plantation used to be a plantation and is said to have been built on a Native American burial site. Apparently ghosts of the many murdered Native Americans at the plantation have chosen to stay at the site. The ghosts’ footsteps have allegedly been heard many times. Plus some claims to have seen the ghosts with their own eyes. They are able to wander around the house and vanish seemingly into nothingness

3. National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio

A number of employees in this museum have apparently seen ghosts, for instance a young boy was seen lingering around a B-29 Bomber. Some people have even claimed that they’ve seen objects moving and voices which couldn’t be traced.
