Gone are the days when there were blank corners on the map. Now, we are closer than ever to conquering the galaxy, with new astrological discoveries being made on an almost daily basis. Despite this, a small group of people who remain convinced that the Earth is flat.

They are known as “Flat Earthers”, and they’ve gone against an overwhelming body of scientific evidence that the Earth is round (and, y’know, all the seriously impressive pictures that have been taken from space) because of pseudoscience or religious literalism.

Humankind has known that the Earth has been round for quite some time now. In fact, the discovery was first made by the ancient Greeks back in 500 BC because of the shape of the moon, and since then it’s been proven beyond all reasonable doubt.

There have been many educated and intelligent individuals to try and talk sense into Flat Earthers, but the small group, who first founded their bizarre science-defying organizations in the mid 20th century, haven’t believed any of them.

Now, American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has tried his hand at convincing Flat Earthers that it’s time to accept the truth.
