Man Pulls Hand Out Of Water With A Hammerhead Shark Eating His Arm

Having part of your body eaten is a nightmare situation for most people. One of the most painful experiences of my life happened when a horse almost bit two of my fingers off after it decided the carrot I’d offered wasn’t quite enough. I’ve got the scars to prove it.

There are certain people, however, who are at a much greater risk of being bitten by animals. While accidents like the one I endured as a child occasionally occur with domestic animals, those who deliberately try to hunt animals for food, well, a lot of them are asking for it.

Check out the video below to see a hammerhead shark EATING half of a man’s arm:

In May of last year, elephant hunter Theunis Botha suffered an extremely painful death when he was crushed to death by the animal he’d been hunting. After charging at him, it was shot dead by another hunter, crushing Botha before he had a chance to run away.

While this incident is shocking, what is perhaps even more difficult to believe are the dangers which fishermen face. Unless you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you’ll probably consume seafood on a fairly regular basis, but it turns out that sea life can be just as dangerous as animals on land.

The circumstances surrounding the viral clip are unknown, but we can only presume that the man in question had caught the hammerhead shark for food and reached into the water to claim his catch before finding himself in an extremely painful situation.

So if you’re a fan of fishing, you might want to be extra careful the next time you reach into the water after catching a fish…
