WWE Superstar Kane Brought In The Undertaker To Help With Mayoral Election

A WWE wrestler is running for mayor in Knox County, Tennessee. Glenn Jacobs, better known as the former WWE champion Kane, is looking to switch careers and is hoping for your votes as a Republican on May 1st!

It shouldn’t really come as too much of a surprise considering politics isn’t that much of a stretch from WWE. Both involve being in the public eye, playing up to the crowds, dealing with the opposition, acting, and of course, no one really knows exactly what’s real and what’s not.

Okay, I’ll admit that I’m a bit cynical about the career move, but Kane isn’t the first wrestler to take office. Jesse Ventura, Antonio Inoki, and Atsushi Onita have held office in the United States and Japan.

Glenn Jacobs, AKA Kane, announced he would run for mayor last year and has seriously been campaigning. Now, in the final months before the election, he has stepped up his game and got his WWE on-screen half-brother, The Undertaker, to join him on the campaign trail.

Check out Kane’s mayoral promotional video below. It looks like he’s taking the “Corporate Kane” gimmick a little too far:

Kane and The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, have a long history in the ring together, both as allies and as enemies, but appearances together in person have been rare.
