22 Feb Honey Boo Boo Lashes Out At Haters Who Accused Her Of “Acting Black”

One of America’s most talked about preteens is 12-year-old Honey Boo Boo. Her real name is Alana Thompson, she and her mother, Mama June, rose to fame on the hit TLC show Toddlers & Tiaras and subsequently landed their own spin-off show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

Despite the show being canceled in 2014, she and her family have continued to dominate headlines in the US.

Having achieved fame at such an early age, the 12-year-old has a big social media following and frequently makes posts which emphasize her loud and bubbly personality. However, she has now been criticized by Instagram users for “acting black”.

In response to her haters, Honey Boo Boo has now lashed out on Instagram, claiming that it is impossible to act a color.

“Let me just tell y’all. Someone just told me to stop acting black in my comments,” the 12-year-old said. “Honey, the last thing I am is black honey. I’m white. Look at my face hun. I’m white. White.”

“And I want to know, how the f*ck you act a color? Like, oh you wake up one day and be like, ‘Hmm, let’s see. I’m going to be purple.’ Ho, you can’t act a color. You can be a color, but you can’t act a color.”
