08 Feb Disney Just Dropped The First Trailer For ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ And The Galaxy Imploded
SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO
If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my time on this planet, it’s that everybody loves Star Wars, and you can never have enough of it.
Audiences simply cannot get enough of the saga that is essentially Hollywood’s version of ‘Keeping Up With The Skywalkers’.
After George Lucas sold his beloved franchise to Disney for an eye-watering $4 billion (FOUR FREAKIN’ BILLION DOLLARS), we were promised not only a continuation of the saga from the sequels (which, in my opinion, have been superb), but also several “spin-off” or “stand-alone” movies that will help explore plot holes and other characters featured in the canon.
(If that’s not the look of a defeated man who sold his pride and dignity, I don’t know what is…)
In December 2016, fans were treated to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was blow-your-balls-into-hyperspace fantastic. It not only continued to prove Disney could deliver excellent movies for the franchise to 21st-century audiences, but it proved that this new series of stand-alone films could be as enjoyable and successful as the rest of the saga.
Fast-forward to 2018, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, starring Alden Ehrenreich as the galaxy’s favorite smuggler and nerf herder, Han Solo. Written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon, and directed by Ron Howard, the movie focuses on the life of Han Solo (previously played by Harrison Ford) before we’re introduced to him in Episode IV.
Needless to say, fans cannot wait, and this week, Disney released the first trailer for the movie, which is set for release on May 25. Check it out below:

Amazing, I know.
From seeing Han first encounter Chewie, to Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, fans on Twitter erupted in delight as the trailer, and these are our favorite tweets.
Many people were excited about seeing Emilia Clarke…
But we can’t deny it, people were all about Donald:
Speaking as a fan, and considering how high Disney has set the bar, I cannot wait until May 25th!
