07 Feb The Obvious ‘Friends’ Mistake That Only British Fans Will Spot
Rejoice! Perhaps the greatest sitcom in the history of television has finally come to Netflix in the UK.
Friends is perhaps the most beloved show of all time. First airing in 1994, the show ran for an impressive ten series before Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica and Chandler said their final goodbyes and enjoyed their last coffee in Central Perk. Despite the recent criticism of white-washing, homophobia and transphobia throughout the show, the sitcom is still as popular as ever, with many people now binging the show in their free time online.
One of the reasons the show became so popular was simply how relatable it was. Nothing screams real-life like a group of six 20-somethings struggling to find love and progress in their careers. Seriously, I tick all of those boxes (including only having five friends).
However, with all the rewatching of Friends and the ability to rewind episodes at the click of a button, now more than ever fans are spotting mistakes and continuity errors within the show.
Like that time they accidentally left Monica’s double in an episode:
Or that time Chandler, Ross and Joey claimed their favorite movie was Die Hard…
…and then never pointed out that Rachel’s boyfriend Paul was the spitting image of Bruce Willis:
Or how about that time Ross tells Gunther his birthday is in December, and then later says it’s October 18th:
(Actually, Ross’ actual birthday is a huge continuity error throughout the show, but I digress…)
But now Brit’s have finally been given the opportunity to rewatch the series on the online streaming service Netflix, they have spotted yet another error in the show, and this time it’s one only British people will notice.
