Growing up is tough. We all have body issues and moments when we feel insecure, especially during those school-aged years when bullying is rampant. Let’s face it, kids are mean! But perhaps 23-year-old Molly Higgins from California may have had it a little tougher than most of us.
She had her right hand amputated as a newborn and has a severely damaged left hand. As a result, growing up wasn’t easy. She endured bullying at school and suffered from depression, low self-esteem, and body image issues. At one point, she was even suicidal.
However, Molly is strong, and although she says it took time, she is now completely owning her “differently abled” body and has become a model. She now shows off her confidence and is helping others by sharing her journey on Instagram.
Molly shares inspiring messages and stories on her account, which now has over 6000 followers, and hopes that people will find inspiration to become more comfortable in their own skin.
