Woman Completely Covered In Over 6,000 Tumors Makes Life-Changing Recovery

It’s fair to say that anyone born with a rare, genetic condition has it tougher than the average person. However, very few people have a condition so rare that their entire bodies are covered in thousands of small, but noticeable bumps.

Well, one mother by the name of Libby Huffer knows exactly what that is like.

Her body was completely covered in more than 6,000 tumors but, incredibly, she has made an unbelievable transformation after undergoing surgery.

Huffer had been battling with neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder whereby small, non-cancerous tumors are formed around the nerves in the body.

The doting mother, who is from Fort Wayne in Indiana, spent over 25 years of her life being taunted over her physical appearance. At school, she was cruelly referred to as “lizard breath” and “toad” by the other kids.

After her story became public, Huffer was offered the chance (by TV Show The Doctorsto receive specialist treatment with the sole purpose of eradicating the tumors.

Take a glimpse at the episode she featured in, below:

In June 2017, she underwent her second electrodesiccation surgery, removing a thousand of the little tumors on her face as well as the tissue causing the growths.
