Baba Vanga, a blind Bulgarian mystic, has been hailed as “the Nostradamus from the Balkans” for her eerily accurate prophecies. Although she died in 1996 at the age of 85, she left the world predictions for many events that would occur centuries after her death.

Baba Vanga actually correctly predicted the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York, which occurred five years after her death. Way back in 1989, she foresaw that “two steel birds” would attack the “American brethren”.

“Horror, horror!” she continued. “The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.” Talk about creepy.

It certainly sounds like 9/11. Her followers have also claimed she accurately predicted many other global events, including the rise of ISIS, the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, Brexit, and the successful election campaign of President Donald Trump.

For example, Baba Vanga claimed that Europe as we know it would “cease to exist” by the end of 2016 (the Brexit referendum was in July of that year – and we all know how that ended).
