09 Jan Troll Calls Sarah Silverman A “C***”, And Her Unexpected Response Completely Floors Him

The hilarious Sarah Silverman is known for her sharp wit and for making controversial statements during her standup routines, and she has won numerous Emmy awards for her work, in which she revels in discussing the absurdities that occur in her day-to-day life.

And while she is dedicated to the art of providing people with comic relief in their complicated and demanding lives, she knows when to use her voice to comment on more serious issues.

For instance, when her friend and fellow comedian Louis CK released a statement confirming allegations of sexual misconduct, she delivered a very moving and heartwarming response. She confessed that she was “very angry” at the allegations but “also sad because he’s my friend”.

It’s moments like these that remind us that although Silverman is very much a part of the tough and sometimes unrelenting world of comedy, she does, in fact, have a very big heart.

And she doesn’t just extend her kindness towards her fans, sometimes she’ll share words of kindness with her fiercest critics.

For instance, on December 29, 2017, Twitter user Jeremy Jamrozy replied to one of the comedienne’s tweets in a very unjustifiably crass manner.

So how did it all start? Well, Silverman had used her Twitter to reach out to a Donald Trump supporter in a bid to better understand his point of view.

When Jeremy Jamrozy replied to her tweets calling her a “c*nt”, Silverman reacted in the most unexpected way.

Instead of blocking the aggressive Twitter user – which was fully within her rights – Silverman was was polite and respectful to the man throughout their exchange and made sure to take everything Jeremy was saying on board.

Now Silverman could have responded in anger at the unjustified insult, but she kept her composure and found a much better way to tackle the situation.

Silverman knows firsthand how your mental health can affect your emotions and the manner in which you interact with people.

She has dealt with depression since she was 13 years old and as a result, didn’t have the easiest start in life.

Because she has dealt with immense pain herself, the empathetic comedienne addressed the Twitter user with compassion and understanding. She found what she thought might be the roots of the man’s anger: his health.

“I believe in you. I read ur timeline & I see what ur doing & your rage is thinly veiled pain,” she empathized. “But u know that. I know this feeling. Ps My back F*cking sux too. see what happens when u choose love. I see it in you [sic].”

A mere five minutes after Silverman generously reached out to the man who had just insulted her, he responded.

Jeremy’s response was totally and utterly heartwrenching and seems to account for his tendency to lash out at people.

“I can’t choose love,” he immediately confessed. “A man that resembles Kevin Spacey took that away when I was 8. I can’t find peace if I could find that guy who ripped my body who stripped my innocence I’d kill him. He f*cked me up and I’m poor so it’s hard to get help.”

From his response, it is clear that Jeremy’s has a lot of deep-seated anger but also great sadness.

He feels trapped by the memories of the sexual abuse he was subjected to since he was eight years old. Unfortunately, he has dealt with this through anger and aggression.

Silverman continued to empathize with the man who had unexpectedly poured his heart out.
