13 Nov Sex Toy Company “Accidentally” Recorded People Using Their Products
In 2017, the chances of somebody owning an adult toy is relatively common. Whether they’re used for personal pleasure or as a “marital aid”, many people have experienced the toe-curling benefits of sex toys.
However, I’m sure many users of such products will agree that a huge element of the pleasure comes from the private and personal use of such a device. When everybody is out of the house, just being able to lock the door, close your eyes and experience a few minutes of “you time” is a wonderful stress reliever.
However, it seems like one company’s products is not offering their customers the private fun they expected to have.
A Hong Kong-based company by the name of Lovense has been forced to issue an apology after one of its vibrator’s remote control apps were recording the sounds of their users. Yes, the toy’s accompanying cell phone app was recording people getting off.
The application is called the Lovense Remote, and allows users to control the cycle, intensity etc of the toy via their cell phone.
However, one disgruntled Reddit user was left far from satisfied and issued a complaint to the company, stating how they gave permission for the application to access their in-built microphone and camera, but only for the use of the voice-notes and chat features.
