23 Heartwarming Transformations Of Neglected Dogs That Prove Love Is The Best Medicine

Dogs don’t just make wonderful pets, but they also make the greatest friends humans can have. When people say that dogs are a man’s best friend, it’s not just a catchphrase – it’s true. As a dog owner, and am not only disgusted, but shocked to see how some people can treat dogs and other animals in such a heartless manner, disregarding their rights as living creatures, and treating them like dirt.

Although some of these before images will be difficult to look at, the after pictures will bring a tear of joy and relief to your eye, and it proves that with some love, care and attention, dogs can overcome such cruelty and once again live a happy life.

23. What A Difference Love Can Make

This gorgeous dog was found living in a pile of garbage after her owner abandoned her. I honestly didn’t know animals could look so ill and mistreated. However, the after picture was taken just three months after she was rescued. Sure, the medication saved her life, but it was the love and care she received from the vets and her new owners that changed her life.

22. Treasure

Treasure was just a heartbreaking two-years-old when she was found at the side of the road by a motorist. Her fur had become so matted that she was unable to walk. After being spotted and taken to a vets, she was nursed back to health and adopted by a family that really do treat her like a treasure. Just look at her now! With that big smile on her face.

21. Sammy

This creature in the before picture isn’t even recognisable as an animal, let alone a dog. However, thanks to the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals in Montreal, Canada, she has been looking better and better each day. Sammy even has been gifted with lovely scarf.
