Women are sick and tired of the sexual harassment that seems to have become commonplace in society today. They are fed up with the catcalling, inappropriate touching and objectifying, and seem to have reached a tipping point.

At least, one women in Brazil has had enough. She took matters into her own hands after she claimed that a man objectified her on the street while she was working, handing out flyers.

A controversial video has surfaced, which shows a young woman in Ribeirao Preto city centre handing out flyers and then pinning a man to the sidewalk. The woman holds him down with one foot while she accuses him of harassing her.

The man claims he is innocent and was simply “out shopping with his wife and has done nothing wrong”. The women continues to shout at him, saying she is tired of being “touched and sexually harassed” while just doing her job.

The woman’s anger escalates and she then yells, “I’m fed up being treated like a sex object. Is it boobs you want?” and proceeds to pull off her t-shirt. She then exposes her breasts and straddles the man.

The woman then slaps the man and aggressively shoves her breasts into his face. Onlookers are torn as to how to react. Some support the woman, while others find her reaction extreme.

‘This is absurd, there is no justification for doing this,” said one witness. “How can you do this in front of children in the city center?” While other witnesses thought the unnamed woman’s actions could be considered courageous, and that she has “exposed and humiliated the attacker”.

As it turns out, the entire incident was staged as a piece of performance art by a local theatre company.The event actually took place at the end of last year, and was created by the Confluências Group.
