We all know that plumbing can be a dirty job. Often it involves clogged toilets, backed up sewage, and a whole lot of nasty, smelly, water. It isn’t a profession to go into if you’re looking for fame and fortune.

The exception to that rule is a young plumber named Jimmie Cox from Granbury, Texas. After his photo was snapped while on a job, the whole world now knows his face… well, maybe not his face.

The hilarious photo was taken by Andrea Adams after a water line burst near her driveway. She uploaded the picture to her Facebook page, and within hours it had gone viral.

“I posted the photo to Facebook, and within two hours, people in Brazil were commenting,” Adams said, overwhelmed by the response. “I’ve shut down my Facebook, turned off my email. I had a call from a lawyer in Atlanta that wanted to use the photo.”

The photo spread so quickly and had such a reach that even the star of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe, shared and commented on the picture. Rowe was so impressed that he called Cox personally and offered to buy him a beer.

Cox also received a year’s supply of Wrangler jeans because he was wearing their brand while on the job. The viral photo certainly garnered a lot of attention for the jeans brand, and for Cox.
