12 Sep Jim Carrey Has The World Worried About Him After His Latest Bizzare Interview

Jim Carrey has always been eccentric. In fact, that is what he became famous for. The larger than life actor never has been your normal Hollywood star.

The comedian has never sought to conform to the normal world of A-list stars. He may shuffle down a red carpet, with adoring fans screaming his name, but, underneath his quirky suit is a man always ready to put on a performance.

His desire to always put on a show, makes him a unique celebrity to interview. It could go one of two ways. Which is something this reporter from E! discovered when she called him over for an interview at New York Fashion Week…

Carrey graced the red carpet at the Harpers Bazaar Party, surprising reporters who didn’t expect to see the recently reclusive Dumb & Dumber star in attendance. Desperate to interview him, Catty Sadler from E! practically tackled him as he waltzed past. But, when the interview started, she wished she’d let him carry on walking…

Sadler begins by exclaiming: “I have run a lot of Fashion Weeks and this is the first time I’ve run into Jim Carrey,” while Carrey circles her rather intimidatingly, with a large smile on his face. Clearly uncomfortable, Sadler blurts: “Is it true you’re wandering the streets? You need a date to the party?”

Carrey, a professional joker responded by saying: “No, no, I’m doing just fine. I just, you know, there’s no meaning to any of this. So, I wanted to find the most meaningless thing that I could come to and join and here I am.” However, it was clear that the funny man wasn’t joking.

A dumbfounded Sadler is left clueless as to what to say, but before she can intercept with another question, Carrey adds: “I mean you’ve got to admit it’s completely meaningless”. Finding her voice, Sadler explains that the party is hosted in order to celebrate icons, but before she can finish, an aggravated Carrey interrupts.

“Well,  they say they are celebrating icons and that is just the absolute lowest aiming, you know, possibility that we can come up with,” before turning to a speechless Sadler and asking, “Do you believe in icons?”. Sadler attempts to answer the bizzare question, but before she can even say a word, Carrey cuts her up again…

“I don’t believe in personalities. I don’t believe that you exist but there is a wonderful fragrance in the air,” Carrey says, whilst looking down at a stunned Sadler.
