Hollywood is notoriously bad at keeping secrets. Just ask Brad and Angelina, who had their divorce on the front page of every newspaper and magazine before they could even inform their closest friends. Nothing is sacred. Well, unless you are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, who have managed to keep their five year romance a relatively hidden Hollywood secret.

On Labor Day, the couple were spotted walking hand-in-hand on the beach in Malibu, appearing unfazed by the cameras as they captured the romantic stroll along the shore. Although, they did sport darks shades and trilby hats in an attempt to conceal their very famous faces.

For years, they have been plagued by stories of a blossoming romance. However, until now, they have never acknowledged these rumours, which is believed to be due to an agreement Holmes made with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. As revealed by RadarOnline last year, Holmes agreed to not publicly date anyone for five years after her 2012 divorce from Cruise.

It is thought that Holmes, was introduced to Foxx by Cruise, after the two starred alongside one another in the 2004 film Collateral. Whilst Cruise is yet to comment on the dating rumours, we can imagine that him and Foxx are no longer close friends.

Holmes, who married Cruise after just seven weeks of dating, shocked the world when she filed for divorce in 2012, just days after the couple were seen publicly holding hands. The divorce was settled after only 10 days, in which Holmes reportedly agreed to keep her dating life private for five years.

However, a year after the divorce, Holmes was seen dancing with Foxx at a benefit in The Hamptons which sparked rumours that the two were dating. Foxx quickly shut down any suggestion that he and Holmes were romantically involved, calling the rumours “hilarious” and “100 per cent not true”.

As Foxx and Holmes took lengths to strengthen their privacy, the stories of their romance began to subside. With no public appearances together, the high-profile pair managed to escape the media glare. Until, 2015, when they were photographed together in a compromising situation…

In March 2015, just 18 months after the rumours of their relationship started, a photograph of Holmes and Foxx holding hands in a recording studio surfaced. Despite their cosy and comfortable body language, Foxx again denied a romance between the pair, claiming them to be “just friends”.
